Our Story

  • The Spark

    December 25, 2015

It started with a question: What if we could do something—anything—to help even one survivor? On Christmas Day, a small group of women in Phoenix gathered with the dream of building a safe space for survivors of sex trafficking.

  • The First Step

    December 28, 2015

We hosted our first community awareness event. The turnout—and the stories—were overwhelming. What began as a small conversation turned into a call to action we couldn’t ignore.

  • Starfish Place Opens

    January 1, 2016

After nearly two years of planning, fundraising, and partnership-building, Starfish Place officially opened its doors—offering safe housing, trauma-informed care, and a new beginning for survivors.

  • Growing the Mission

    Today

Now, Starfish has helped dozens of survivors and continues to grow. With your support, we’re expanding services, launching advocacy programs, and training the next generation of community responders. Because helping one person changes everything.
